Tom Coughlin & Associates, LLC was formed due to Mr. Coughlin's business experience as a retired retail executive. 

Although Mr. Coughlin had retired, his expertise and passion for business prompted the organization of several professionals that specialize in a multitude of business categories. 

Tom Coughlin & Associates, LLC is dedicated to utilizing this experience to create greater efficiency for our clients.

About Tom Coughlin....

Mr. Coughlin has provided leadership in the retail industry for over forty years.  Coughlin began his career with R.H. Macy’s Stores and Cook United before beginning a career with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., in 1978.  He has served as head of personnel, loss prevention, specialty divisions, Sam’s Club operations, Wal-Mart Operations, Wal-Mart U.S., Wal-Mart Global Procurement, and Wal-mart.com.  After serving as CEO of Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club’s USA, Coughlin retired as Vice-Chairman of the company in 2005, and shortly thereafter started Tom Coughlin & Associates, LLC, which provides consulting services to retailers and suppliers.

Mr. Coughlin has served on boards and advisory capacities for The Cleveland Clinic, MD Anderson Cancer Center, ChoicePoint, Lake West, and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.  Coughlin served as the Chairman of the Board for Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE).  He and his wife, Cynthia, have been involved with the Walton Arts Center and are founding board members of the Boys & Girls Club of Northwest Arkansas.  Mr. Coughlin currently serves as a board member of Ken’s Krew, and is a Director of the Board for Geeknet, Inc.
